WQB Mold Removal's crew treats the mold and diagnoses what's actually feeding it — often a ventilation design that made sense decades ago but doesn't anymore.

Our Lykens, PA crews diagnose the moisture source — vapor barrier gaps, drainage, or outdated ventilation design — before proposing any fix.
We'll trace the actual source rather than treat the first thing we see.
Four reasons Lykens property owners trust us with this specific job.
Our Lykens techs understand the specific moisture patterns common in older pier-and-beam and pre-1980s construction. We won't apply a modern slab-home fix to a Lykens, PA property that needs a different approach. We photograph crawl space conditions before and after for your Lykens records.
Some older crawl spaces run under 18 inches, and we're equipped for exactly that. No job gets turned away just because the clearance is tight. Our equipment is rated for the tight clearance older construction demands.
A properly sealed vapor barrier addresses what's usually the real Lykens, PA source. Skipping this step is why so many prior treatments don't hold. We photograph crawl space conditions before and after for your Lykens records.
Some Lykens clients set up a monitoring plan after treatment, especially in chronically humid older homes. We'll recommend monitoring only where your specific situation warrants it. Our equipment is rated for the tight clearance older construction demands.
Every Lykens job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
Older construction often has ventilation designed for a different era's building codes.
We size and seal barriers to fit irregular older foundation footprints correctly.
Standing water or poor exterior grading around an older Lykens foundation needs a real fix, not just interior treatment.
Older floor joists and subfloor material get checked for both mold and underlying wood deterioration.
Many older Lykens crawl spaces were built vented, which can pull in humid air rather than dry the space out.
A humidity sensor left behind can flag a returning issue before it becomes visible mold again.
We keep this simple to explain, even though the space itself rarely is.
A quick call helps our Lykens dispatcher send the right equipment on the first visit. Texting a photo ahead of time can speed up prep.
Response time in Lykens is typically same-day, faster for active emergencies. You'll get a call or text when the crew is on the way.
You'll know the full scope and price before we touch anything in your Lykens property. We'll explain the quote in plain language, not just hand you a number.
You get documentation proving the work was completed to standard. We'll walk the space with you before calling it finished.
We didn't write these — our Lykens customers did.
"Our 1940s pier-and-beam house had been fighting this for years until they actually diagnosed why."|"They understood the older construction in a way other companies clearly didn't." — Estelle N., Lykens
"Converted our vented crawl space to sealed and the whole house feels different now."|"Found a grading issue outside that was quietly feeding the problem for a decade." — Reginald P., Lykens
"Tight space, low clearance, and they handled it without complaint."|"Fixed our joist rot and the mold in the same visit." — Miriam C., Lykens
Older Lykens homes deserve a diagnosis built around how they were actually constructed, not a generic modern fix.

Answers to what Lykens owners of older homes ask before booking.
Often yes — older construction has different ventilation patterns and foundation types that call for a tailored diagnosis.
It depends on your climate, foundation type, and moisture source — vented isn't automatically wrong, but it's often outdated.
Our techs carry compact, low-profile gear built for tight conditions, sometimes under 18 inches of clearance.
We'll tell you clearly which category your Lykens joists and subfloor fall into.
We'll give you a realistic timeline after assessing your specific Lykens property.
